The Legislation
Section 104Q of the Road Transport Act 2013 is Interference with NSW Written-Off Heavy Vehicles Register and reads as follows:
Interference with NSW written-off heavy vehicles register
A person must not, except as authorised by the Authority:
(a) obtain access to the NSW written-off heavy vehicles register or information contained in the register, or
(b) make, alter or delete an entry in the register, or
(c) interfere with the register in any other way.
The penalties
Maximum penalty: 250 penalty units.
